Bishkek, Feb.10, 2020. /Kabar/. About 2 thousand Kyrgyzstanis in China have approached the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the People’s Republic of China, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Taking into account the situation with the spread of coronavirus in China, an operational round-the-clock headquarters has been established at the Kyrgyz Embassy in China, which provides the maximum possible consular, legal and practical assistance to Kyrgyz citizens staying in China.
"The total number of appeals of our citizens to the Embassy was more than 1 thousand 800 (through the help line, telephone calls, e-mail, WeChat and WhatsApp applications, etc.). The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in China has made and continues to make every effort to find solution upon all requests of our citizens,” the report says.
Due to the coronavirus situation, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in China carries out the necessary work and interaction with the Chinese state and local authorities and diplomatic missions of foreign states in Beijing, in particular, partner countries.
On Feb.2, 2020 with the assistance of the Kazakh Government, 18 Kyrgyz students studying in Wuhan were returned to Bishkek.
The situation in China is monitored on a daily basis in order to provide regular information on the current situation.
In general, there are more than 4 thousand students from Kyrgyzstan studying in China, some of whom are in China, some of whom are in Kyrgyzstan on vacation or for other reasons.
The Embassy keeps in touch with many Kyrgyz citizens who are currently in China, and there are citizens who do not contact the Embassy.
