Bishkek, April 28, 2022 . /Kabar/. 47 multi-story parking lots will be built in Bishkek, Mayor of the capital city Emilbek Abdykadyrov said during a press conference on Thursday.
He added that the parking lots are currently being monitored: their location, number of parking spots and so on.
"We widen the roads, and drivers park cars along the side of the road. Thus, the road is narrowed again. We realized that this will not solve the problem, so we plan to build 47 multi-level four-storey parking lots five stories high,” Abdykadyrov said.
The mayor noted that there are a number of gas stations in the capital that are located in the central part of the city among residential buildings, which is a violation.
"We decided to "relocate" them outside the city, and proposed to these same companies to build multi-storey paid parking lots on these places. This project is now under development," the Bishkek mayor concluded.
