About 570 thsd people in Kyrgyzstan receive benefits

Bishkek, Jan.27, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Jan.1, 2020 the total number of benefits’ recipients in Kyrgyzstan is 563.6 thousand people, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Labour and Social Development reported Monday.

Of these, the number of recipients of monthly allowances to needy citizens (families) with children under 16 years old made 308.7 thousand people.

Monthly benefits for persons not entitled to a pension, social allowance, amounted to 93,100 persons, as well as a one-time allowance for the birth of a child were received by 161,8 thousand persons.

According to the ministry’s data, the average benefit to needy citizens (families) with children under 16 years old amounted to KGS 871.2 (about $ 13), the average size of the social allowance was KGS 3,029.9 (about $ 44).

"Monetary funds for the payment of state allowances from the republican budget totaled KGS 7,530.5 million (15.4% increase), of which KGS 2,930.9 million for the payment of allowance to needy citizens (families) with children under 16 years old, social allowance KGS 3,478.0 million, allowance for the birth of a child-KGS 650.3 million," the report said.
