Bishkek, June 15, 2022. / Kabar /. About 7 thousand prisoners are kept in the colonies of Kyrgyzstan, Kemel Sadykov, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Service for the Execution of Punishments under the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic, told during a parliamentary meeting.

According to his data, in secure institutions, 71 soms 28 tyins were allocated for food in 2020, 90 soms 58 tyins in 2021, and 104 soms 8 tyins in 2022.

He also added that in the juvenile colony, 138 soms 15 tyiyns are allocated per prisoner for food per day and 169 soms 24 tyiyns are allocated for the treatment of prisoners in medical institutions of the colonies.
