Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2018 / Kabar /. About 90% of water resources in Kyrgyzstan go to neighboring countries, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Maksat Tashbolotov told during the forum of innovation in the greenhouse industry in Bishkek.
He said that Kyrgyzstan is rich in water resources, most of it is formed from the melting of glaciers and flows from the mountains. This is relevant for the introduction of drip irrigation in the country.
“We need to treat our main wealth – the water economically and carefully, therefore it is important to introduce drip irrigation,” Tashbolotov commented.
He added that the Ministry of Agriculture is doing some work in this direction. So, recently there have been some changes in the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic on the application of technologies.
