Abylgaziev and head of ACF discuss plans for development of football in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. Prime Minister Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziev met with head of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalif.

Prime Minister, greeting the guest on the Kyrgyz land, noted that thanks to the fact that the Asian Football Confederation is headed by Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalif, thefootball has become a more popular and dynamically developing sport on the Asian continent.

"For today, football is not just a sport, but a way of life that is led by millions of people who are keen on this sport. In our republic, football brings together thousands of people, becoming more popular every year," Abylgaziev said.

The Prime Minister stressed that several projects were implemented in the republic with the support of the AFC, which are aimed at the development and promotion of football.

"It should be noted that one of the main achievements in the history of domestic football was the participation, for the first time, of the National Team of the football team in the final part of the Asian Cup in football in 2019, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates," Abylgaziev said. - We all know how difficult was the qualifying stage, but despite this, our athletes got a ticket to the upcoming Asian Cup. In addition, with gratitude I want to note your support to our Football Federation. The reforms carried out by you bear fruit, you are supported not only by the Football Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, but also by other football associations in Asia. In addition, the Prime Minister focused on the fact that the government of the country intends to continue supporting team sports, primarily football.

In turn, the head of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalif said that during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, the plans to develop and popularize football in the country are discussed in detail.

He noted that in recent years, the AFC has implemented a number of projects in the republic, including the construction of mini football fields.

"We plan to continue to support and implement important projects in the country," Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalif said.

Abilgaziev assured Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalif that the country's government will provide all-round support and assistance to the projects of the Asian Football Confederation.
