Bishkek, Feb. 26, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met Chairman of the Management Board of RusHydro Public Joint-Stock Company Nikolai Shulginov.
During the meeting, prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the hydropower industry were discussed, taking into account the great water and energy potential of the Kyrgyz Republic and plans to increase power export to the countries of the region, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government Office reported.
It was noted that finding effective ways of cooperation in the hydropower industry, involving attraction of foreign investment and a mutually beneficial settlement of the situation with Verkhne-Naryn Hydro-Electric Power Plant, will correspond to the positive dynamics of development and strengthening of strategic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Abylgaziev stressed that Kyrgyzstan is interested in effective cooperation in the field of hydropower for the introduction of new generating capacity and the development of the export potential of the industry.
