Bishkek, Aug.15, 2019. /Kabar/. As part of his working trip to Jalal-Abad Oblast, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev took part in the launch of the Kichi-Chaarat concentration plant in Chatkal region, the press service of the Government reported.
Kichi-Chaarat CJSC, established in 2008, is located in the rural district of Kanysh-Kyya, Chatkal region. Upon completion of exploration works at the Kuru-Tegerek and Suluu-Tegerek areas, gold-copper materials were extracted. The factory now employs 529 people, 419 of whom are local residents.
Abylgaziev inspected the production facilities at the enterprise and got acquainted with the technological process.
“The opening of such large production facilities in the regions will give a powerful impetus to the social and economic development of remote areas and contributes to the strengthening of the national economy. The investor puts more than USD 220 million in the construction of a gold mining enterprise and the creation of appropriate production infrastructure. The state, in turn, provides all possible support to such investors, but at the same time sets specific requirements for them, especially in the field of environmental protection and fulfillment of social obligations,” Abylgaziev noted.
He stressed that the local population, which is mostly involved in the work of the enterprise, should help the state to control the strict compliance with all technical and environmental requirements, thus contributing to their exact compliance.
The prime minister after the speech pressed the symbolic button of the company launch.
“In recent years roads, schools and kindergartens have been built in Chatkal region. This is due to the fact that the state has radically changed its approach to working with investors. The region is rich in natural resources and their effective use in the interests of the people of the country will allow us to achieve a qualitative improvement in life. Chatkal region should become one of the most developed and prosperous,” PM Abylgaziev stressed.
The prime minister gave a number of specific instructions to the heads of competent authorities to further establish effective cooperation with both investors and the local population.
