Bishkek, Dec. 1, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev met with the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Peter Burian.
The press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting issues related to cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU in a wide range of areas were discussed. In particular, there was an exchange of views on the progress of joint projects and agreements, on the main priorities for further interaction.
Abylgaziyev noted the high level of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU and expressed gratitude to the EU for its assistance in the implementation of various projects in the socio-economic sphere.
In turn, Burian noted with satisfaction the current positive dynamics in bilateral relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU recently.
The EU Special Representative said that the Union expects that the new Agreement on expanded partnership and cooperation will create more favorable conditions for deepening cooperation, including in the trade and economic sphere. He added that there is a great potential within the framework of the GSP+ status, which should certainly be used.
