Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. “In 2019, we need to take decisive steps in the implementation of the Safe City,” Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev told during a meeting in the Government House.

“In 2018, the Tunduk system was introduced, we held the 3rd World Nomad Games, marked the 90th anniversary of Aitmatov and other important events. In 2019, we need to take decisive steps, for example, the Safe City project, which hadn’t been implemented for several years, now it has already been launched. More than 1 thousand people get killed on the roads and our goal is to reduce the number of victims on the roads,” the Prime Minister said.

He also noted that the topic of regional development remains a priority. In 2018, infrastructure facilities were commissioned and work in this direction continues.

Moreover, according to him, many are asking why 2019 is again declared the Year of Regional Development.

“So, it is impossible to develop the regions in 1 year. If you do not work on the programs, they will be forgotten. In this regard, the government will also work on projects,” Prime Minister said.
