Accidents in Bishkek drop by over 16%, killed 72 people last year

Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2021. /Kabar/. The Patrol Police Department of Bishkek held on Monday an operational meeting on the results of 12 months.

According to the press service of the Patrol Police, a total of 2 thousand 183 traffic accidents were registered in the city of Bishkek for 12 months of 2020, which is 428 fewer than last year.

The number of citizens injured in accidents made 2 thousand 860 people, 430 fewer in comparison with 12 months of last year.

72 people died as a result of road accidents. Last year, this figure was 83.

In general, for 12 months there was a 16.39% reduction in the number of accidents in Bishkek compared to last year. This was the result of explanations to drivers and taking into account the patrolling of officers in the area.
