Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2020 /Kabar/. As part of his working trip to Issyk-Kul Oblast, Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister Artem Novikov held a meeting attended with a participation of Issyk-Kul Oblast governor, mayors, heads of regions and oblast government agencies.
The meeting discussed topical issues of social and economic development of the oblast, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported on Wednesday.
In particular, Artem Novikov focused on four important areas, such as the epidemiological situation related to coronavirus infection, going through winter heating season, food security and the price of socially important food products, as well as the socio-economic situation in the region, tourism and development of industrial capacity.
The acting head of government noted the importance of stabilizing the prices of basic foodstuffs in the region.
"This is especially important during the pandemic and the decline in incomes of the population. We are ready to ensure the supply of essential products directly from importers and producers. Issyk-Kul Oblast state administration has been instructed to work out a mechanism and schedule for the supply of products and their distribution to regions together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation," he said.
Novikov instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation to develop the concept of agricultural development in the direction of meat and dairy farming, as well as horticulture on a cluster approach.
According to the results of the meeting, heads of local authorities were given a number of instructions, including ensuring uninterrupted power supply during the winter and safety at tourist sites, the implementation of social obligations in full.
As part of the working trip, Artem Novikov also visited the Public Service Center of a new format in the village Teplokluchenka of Ak-Suu region.
The leadership of the State Registration Service under the Government was instructed to ensure the full functioning of the center, without waiting for its official opening.
