Bishkek, Jan. 8, 2021 /Kabar/. Within a week, license plate cameras will be installed at all checkpoints and integrated into the "Joint Post" system, Acting Prime Minister and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov said during a visit to Chon Kapka in Talas Oblast.
"The Tunduk state enterprise was instructed in cooperation with relevant state bodies to solve the issue of launching license plate cameras at all existing checkpoints in the territory of the republic within a week. This will help to eliminate corruption risks while crossing the state border by motor vehicles engaged in the delivery of goods. There will be no effective fight against smuggling until every unit of goods imported into our territory is accounted for," he said.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, after inspecting the territory of the checkpoint, the acting head of the government expressed dissatisfaction with the work of some services.
"I'm not surprised that the data of border service and the tax service completely differ. Trucks simply do not reach employees of the tax service, as there is a wide passage.
Everything we do is useless as long as trucks bypass our checkpoints, and we do not pay attention to this," Artem Novikov stressed.
He instructed to install in a short time a system for fixing passing road transport, reduce the width of the passage and install a banning road sign for the passage of trucks to bypass the "Joint Post".
