Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov met with UN Resident Coordinator in Kyrgyzstan Ozonnia Ojielo, the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.
Artem Novikov expressed hope for strengthening of partnership between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and all institutions of the UN system.
"We hope for your support in the activities of the Kyrgyz Government and all government institutions in the run-up to presidential elections. We also intend to hold negotiations with all partners in the implementation of joint projects to achieve sustainable development goals. In addition, the assistance of international partners can help introduce best practices in implementing some programs of the Government. In particular, to support the business sector, reforms of state structures, development of the country,” the acting prime minister noted.
In his turn, Ozonnia Ojielo expressed gratitude for the cooperation and noted the organization highly appreciates the partnership with the republic.
In the course of the conversation the sides discussed the issues of assistance and cooperation in overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Topical issues of further cooperation were also debated.
