Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov participated in the 19th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states by videoconference.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, the meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of the Republic of India.

Addressing heads of government, Acting PM Novikov noted the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government is held at a difficult time for each country associated with the spread of coronavirus infection.
He also expressed gratitude to SCO member states for their assistance to Kyrgyzstan in combating COVID-19, and added that current conditions dictate the need for closer cooperation and mutual cooperation in all areas and directions within the Organization.

"An important issue on today's agenda is not only the fight against coronavirus, but also the overcoming of its consequences and the solution of problems to restore economic activity and the pace of progressive development of our countries,” Artem Novikov underlined.
