The state is ready for a possible worsening of the epidemiological situation related to the spread of coronavirus infection, Acting Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov said on Saturday during a meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
"The situation with the spread of coronavirus infection in the country remains tense. Over 400-500 new cases are registered every day. Positive dynamics have been observed in recent days, but we must be prepared for a possible deterioration of the epidemiological situation. Every effort must be made to prevent new human casualties from coronavirus infection. Those infected should be hospitalized quickly and without queues.
We must prepare a clear schedule of bed occupancy in health-care institutions, as well as the distribution of medicines, personal protective equipment, medical equipment, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the regions. In addition, it is important to provide all hospitals with autonomous power generators," Artem Novikov said.
The acting head of the government emphasized the country has a sufficient number of medicines and personal protective equipment.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health of the republic was instructed to monitor prices for medicines in regions of the country and to continue work on improving the level of hospitals with necessary equipment and medicines.
Artem Novikov stressed the importance of taking the necessary measures to curb the epidemiological situation.
During the meeting, the situation with the spread of COVID-19 in each region of the country was discussed in detail and appropriate instructions were given to strengthen the work with severe and extremely severe patients with coronavirus infection.
