Acting PM Novikov takes part in meeting of EEC Council

Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2021. /Kabar/. Acting Prime Minister and Acting First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Artem Novikov took part in a regular meeting of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council held Saturday via videoconferencing.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Government, this meeting is important because it is timed to the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council at the level of prime ministers, scheduled for Feb. 5, 2021 in Almaty.

During the meeting, the sides discussed approaches to improving the mechanisms for the application of special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures in the Eurasian Economic Union, the issue of the basic technological organizational model of the system of marking goods with identification means in the Eurasian Economic Union.

As a result of the meeting, a number of decisions of the EEC Council was approved.

Due to the saturation of the agenda, the next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Feb. 8, 2021.
