Bishkek, Dec. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. "The most important duty of the state is to provide services to citizens and create comfortable conditions for them," Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov said on Monday during a conference “Main directions of digitalization in the Kyrgyz Republic: prospects and challenges”.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz president, the conference is attended by heads of state bodies, representatives of civil society and business organizations. The main purpose of the event is to discuss urgent measures, future plans and tasks in the field of digitalization.
Opening the conference, the acting president reminded a decree "On urgent measures to enhance the introduction of digital technologies in public administration of the Kyrgyz Republic” was signed on Dec. 17, 2020.
"First of all, this format eliminates the human factor and corrupt practices, while saving time and money for citizens. From now on, citizens should not run after officials, but have the opportunity to obtain, for example, the necessary information from the tax service and other state bodies through appropriate applications,” Talant Mamytov said.
He added that without implementation of digital technologies it is impossible to get rid of existing shortcomings in the provision of public services, calling on leaders to take greater responsibility.
Talant Mamytov also criticized heads of state bodies, who slow down and sabotaging the process of implementing automated systems in institutions.
He noted electronic public services will greatly facilitate the lives of all citizens, and once again demanded from the leaders to pay increased attention to their implementation.
