Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2020 / Kabar /. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov received today Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Kyrgyz Republic Kairat Nurpeisov.
An exchange of views took place on the current state of political and economic ties, measures to develop inter-parliamentary relations, the President’s press service reported.
The acting head of state noted that cooperation between the two fraternal countries has a traditionally high level and active dynamics, which cover almost all areas of interaction.
He stressed that bilateral relations should continue to develop in the spirit of friendship, alliance and strategic partnership.
Mamytov also drew the attention of the Kazakh side to the possibility of rendering assistance in the unhindered passage of freight vehicles through checkpoints on the sections of the state border.
At the same time, the sides discussed the possibility of resuming passenger traffic on the Bishkek-Talas route, previously suspended by Kazakhstan in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.
“Taking into account the fact that the citizens of Kyrgyzstan will pass through the territory of Kazakhstan only in transit, the Kazakh side could consider this relaxation as an exception for the Kyrgyz side,” Talant Mamytov stressed.
Speaking about inter-parliamentary cooperation, the sides noted that work in this direction contributes to the strengthening of strategic partnership between the countries - the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan maintain close cooperation within the framework of the inter-parliamentary assemblies of the CIS, CSTO, TurkPA, as well as other inter-parliamentary organizations.
In turn, Kairat Nurpeisov expressed gratitude to Talant Mamytov for the reception and stressed that Kazakhstan is interested in a politically stable and economically prosperous Kyrgyzstan.
He expressed his readiness to further continue mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of agreements on eternal friendship and allied relations.
