Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2020 / Kabar /. Acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated journalists and media representatives on the upcoming Day of Information and Press.
His press service said that in his congratulation message Sadyr Zhaparov said that today the importance of journalism is growing in the world, and the daily life cannot be imagined without the flow of information.
“In this context, important events in the life of the country clearly demonstrate that media transparency is of great importance on the path of Kyrgyzstan to democratic development,” he said.
The acting president stressed that this is due to the fact that journalists have a strong influence on the formation of public opinion, providing the population with transparent and impartial information.
“At historically important moments for our country, the contribution of pen workers in supporting efforts to strengthen the socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian development of the state is enormous. It is also worth noting that journalists clearly and responsibly fulfilled their duties during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which our country faced along with the world community,”
The acting president expressed hope that the journalists will continue to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people and to continue to be a mirror of public life, defenders of justice, messengers of good and achievement.
Zhaparov wished good health, family happiness and success in the work of journalists.
