Bishkek, Oct. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Sadyr Zhaparov will pay a multi-day working trip to Osh, Batken and Dzhalal-Abad Oblasts regions to familiarize with all the border issues on the spot.
It became known at his today's meeting with Chairman of the Kyrgyz Border Service Ularbek Sharsheyev.
At the meeting, the head of the Border Service reported about an incident in Uch-Dobo village in Batken region of Batken Oblast that took place on Oct. 15.
"Residents of the border areas should live in an atmosphere of peace and stability," Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized, giving specific instructions to resolve the recent incident in Batken Oblast and maintain stability at all Kyrgyz border crossings.
On Oct. 25 in Uch-Dobo village, Batken Oblast a conflict took place between citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
According to information from the State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan, citizens of Tajikistan began laying water pipes at disputable section of border.
The citizens of Tajikistan did not obey the repeated demands of the Kyrgyz border guards to stop their work; as a result, two shots were fired into the air from the Kyrgyz side.
Work has now been suspended and negotiations are under way with the Tajik side.
