Osh, Jan. 11, 2019. /Kabar/. A meeting was held Thursday, January 10, in Osh Mayor’s Office to discuss and submit proposals in regard with the proposed Action Plan "Osh, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World."
The event was attended by Vice Mayor of Osh Nurbek Kadyrov, heads of all universities of the city, city department of culture, department of education, city committee on physical culture and sports, artists and cultural workers, representatives of the Writers' Union, sculptors.
As part of the activities, the participants made proposals and additions to the discussed draft Action Plan “Osh, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World”.
Thus, within the framework of the Plan being discussed, it is planned to hold events during the year for the development of various spheres, including tourism, culture, sports events, various types of art, and the infrastructure of the city as a whole.
According to the decision of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY member countries, the city of Osh was unanimously declared the capital of the countries of the Turkic world last year. Osh Mayor’s Office and the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic planned a number of joint international events of TURKSOY in Osh during the year.
