Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. As of September 1, 2018, corrective action plan on the removal of Kyrgyzstan from “black list” of European Union had been completed by 93%, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency Kurmanbek Akyshev told at the public hearing on the removal of Kyrgyz air companies from the “black list” of the European Union.
He noted that the Civil Aviation Agency is holding seminars on further training of the engineering team. In addition, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is providing practical assistance to the inspectors.
“Experts of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) are expected to arrive in November – December, 2018 for monitoring on the implementation of the items of the Corrective Action Plan of the audit conducted earlier. Afterwards, Kyrgyzstan will be able to be removed from the “black list” of the EU”, he said.
The Kyrgyz Republic has been a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) since 1992, which is why the state needs to comply to the maximum with the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices.
In 2006 the European Commission included all the air companies of the Kyrgyz Republic in the black list, banning their flights throughout the territory of the European Union.
