Bishkek, April 12, 2024 / Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh approved the loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank in the first reading.
The initiator of the bill is the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Financial resources for the project are provided by the Asian Development Bank. The project amount is USD 40 million:
preferential loan – USD 20 million;
grant – USD 20 million;
co-financing of the Cabinet of Ministers – USD 850,000.
The loan term is 32 years. Grace period – 8 years. The interest rate is 1% per annum during the grace period and 1.5% per annum thereafter. Number of payments – 2 times a year.
The project will work in two directions:
- increasing bank lending to support the development of trade and logistics centers, warehouse owners, primary processors, procurers, aggregators, logistics companies and other subjects of horticulture value chains;
- strengthening value chains in horticulture.
The project implementation period is from March 2024 to December 2028.
