Bishkek, Aug. 30, 2018. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Finance Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev discussed plans of bilateral cooperation with the leadership of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the press service of the Ministry reported.
The meeting of the Kyrgyz Minister with Deputy Executive Director in the Board of Directors of ADB Mario di Mayo was held today. Kasymaliev, in turn, thanked the ADB team for providing invaluable assistance and fruitful cooperation and raised questions on the implementation of the budget support program for Kyrgyzstan. $ 30 million is provided in the budget for the next year under this program.
"At meetings, I told all representatives of the Asian Development Bank about how last year with the help of Mrs. Candice McDeegan, we received assistance in a record-breaking short period (4 days) and completed all technical procedures. Thank you very much for that support and cooperation. I hope that this year we will be able to conduct all procedures and get budget support," Kasymaliev said.
In addition, the Minister touched upon the issue of support on the Board of Directors of ADB for the allocation of the second tranche of grant funds to the Kyrgyz Republic before the end of 2018 under the program "Sector Development: Strengthening the Education System" in the amount of $ 7 million.
In response, Deputy Executive Director of the ADB Board of Directors, Mario di Mayo, told that this year the process of approval in obtaining budget support will be difficult, but he tries to make all efforts on this issue.
