Bishkek, June 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Additional forces will be involved into 118 self - assessment line, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov said, the press service of the Government reported Sunday.
"Whereas earlier in the week the 118 service received about 40-50 calls daily, now the number of calls has increased 13 times. Therefore, we have decided to increase the number of staff in the advisory service in order to ensure that as many people as possible received answers to their questions. Any citizen in need of advice or medical care should receive it in a timely manner," Boronov said.
He also noted that the Emergency Medical Aid Station is overloaded.
"In Bishkek alone, 103 service received 4 561 calls during the past day. Our physicians were able to serve most of calls. They just do not have time to go to all of them physically. Therefore, it was decided to increase the number of ambulances. Next week, about 20 more ambulance crews will start working, " the PM added.
Boronov instructed to completely reorganize the work of the ambulance service so that the team, when making a decision on hospitalization of a patient knew exactly to which hospital to take him.
"There is a need to harmonize work of ambulance and hospitals. In this regard, I instruct to appoint a coordinator for the regulation of their activities. It is necessary to solve this issue as soon as possible, so that there would be no criticism from the citizens," added Boronov.
The head of the government also said that in order to strengthen the work of medical institutions, mobilization work had been carried out in military registration and enlistment offices, where the lists of personnel assigned to medical personnel of different levels had been specified.
In addition, efforts are being made to attract undergraduate levels' students in at medical universities and institutions of higher education with medical faculties: residents, interns and teachers. If they are recruited, they will be paid a corresponding compensation payment.
