The epidemiological situation in each region of the country, topical issues on the provision of hospitals with medicines and equipment and staffing with medical workers, as well as preparedness for the deployment of new beds for patients with COVID-19 has been discussed at the meeting.
“There is an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection. The epidemiological situation in the country has changed over the past week in the republic, including in the city of Bishkek. We have come close to 400 cases of registration of COVID-19 patients per day. New strains of this virus have been recorded in the country. All actions must be clearly coordinated to avoid duplication. Given that the highest incidence of COVID-19 is observed in the city of Bishkek, it is necessary to increase the number of mobile medical teams from 20 to 25, deploy additional ambulance units and deploy additional makeshift hospitals starting next week,” said the first vice prime minister.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic proposed the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan to consider temporarily suspending public events such as juma namaz and iftar. And also it is necessary to ensure strict observance of no more than 50% of the occupancy rate of theaters, cinemas and to limit the holding of mass events. These measures are necessary due to the worsening epidemiological situation in the country, the report said.
Artem Novikov stressed that the corresponding response plans have been adopted, the first batch of Sputnik V vaccine has been delivered to the country, in accordance with the agreements reached at the highest level during the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation. Vaccination with the Chinese vaccine also continues. It is necessary to pay special attention to the prevention of COVID-19 and vaccination of risk groups. The situation should be monitored daily.
Following the headquarters meeting, a number of instructions were given to monitor and control the algorithm for the prevention and treatment of patients with COVID-19, the provision of drugs, protective equipment and oxygen supply systems to hospitals.
