Bishkek, Jan. 26, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Ratification of the Financing Agreement (Digital CASA - KR project) between Kyrgyzstan and the International Development Association, signed on July 2, 2018 in Bishkek”, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 27, 2018.
The purpose of the Law is to implement domestic procedures in accordance with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On International Treaties of the Kyrgyz Republic” necessary for the entry into force of the above Agreement.
The goal of the Digital CASA - Kyrgyz Republic project is to develop the digital economy in the Kyrgyz Republic and the region of Central Asia and some landlocked South Asian countries and parts of South Asia by encouraging private sector investment in infrastructure and improving public policy and regulatory regulation.
The law comes into force ten days from the date of official publication.
