Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2024. /Kabar/. As part of the official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Berlin, a Framework Agreement was signed on the implementation of the public-private partnership (PPP) project "Management of a laboratory in the Kyrgyz Republic".
The Ministry of Economy reported that the document was signed by Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Zhanybek Kerimaliev and Vice President for Public and Trade Services of the British company Intertek Jeremy Gaspard.
The project is aimed at preparing agricultural products for export and certifying their quality.
In addition, the possibility of certifying products of the manufacturing sector, including products of the clothing industry, is being considered.
The implementation of the project will help increase the export of Kyrgyz products to the markets of the European Union and increase their competitiveness.
At the next stage, Intertek experts are planning a visit to the Kyrgyz Republic to conduct a comprehensive analysis. The company is a world leader in product certification and quality control. The joint project with Intertek is a step towards modernizing Kyrgyzstan's laboratories, their infrastructure and integrating the national certification system into international quality standards.
