Bishkek, Oct.14, 2024. /Kabar/. Batken Oblast of Kyrgyzstan hosted on Oct. 12 the 2nd Investment Forum “Development of Batken-Development of the Country”, which resulted in the signing of investment agreements for more than USD 2 billion.
The National Agency for Investment under the President reported that key agreements aimed at stimulating investment in the region were signed:
- an agreement with Kyrgyz Guanda LLP for $300 million,
- an agreement with SanEnergyCo LLC for $230 mln,
- a memorandum of cooperation between Batken Oblast state administration in Batken Oblast and Fergana Oblast of Uzbekistan in the field of tourism,
- as well as an investment agreement between the Ministry of Energy and LV Ziyuan LLC for $1 billion 670 million.
“Hardworking and aspiring people who are ready for change live here. We have rich natural resources and cultural heritage, which creates excellent conditions for the development of agriculture, tourism and business. We are actively working to improve the investment climate, making Batken attractive for investors,” First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev said.
Special attention was paid to the development of infrastructure and creation of favorable conditions for doing business. The government is actively investing in transportation and social projects that will help the region to unlock its economic potential and improve the quality of life of local residents.
