Bishkek, May 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Gross output of agriculture, fishery and forestry is projected at 232.2 billion soms in 2019, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic Janybek Kerimaliyev told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to his data, the real growth rate is also forecasted at the level of 2.7%, with a specific weight in the total GDP of the country of 11.9%, contribution to the GDP growth of 0.34 percentage points due to growth in crop production by 2.5% and livestock - by 2.7%.
“The average annual number of workers permanently employed in agriculture, forestry and fishery is about 541 thousand people. 50 agro-processing enterprises were put into operation in 2018. An additional 907 jobs were created," Kerimaliyev said.
