Agricultural production in EAEU increased by 1.7% in January-May 2022

Bishkek, July 12, 2022. /Kabar/. In January-May 2022, the production of agricultural products in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased by 1.7% compared to the same period last year.

The growth was observed in Russia - 2.3%, Kyrgyzstan - 2.2% and Kazakhstan - 1.3%, the Eurasian Economic Commission said.

In particular, the production of main livestock products increased: livestock and poultry for slaughter (live weight) - by 3.8%, milk - by 0.9%, eggs - by 2.7%.

The leaders in the growth of livestock and poultry production for slaughter were Russia (+ 4.9%) and Kyrgyzstan (+ 2.7%). Milk production increased from 0.2% in Belarus to 1.9% in Kyrgyzstan. The maximum increase in egg production was recorded in Kazakhstan - by 9.7%
