Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2020 / Kabar/. Farmers, producers and suppliers of Kyrgyzstan need to unite and create an alliance to be competitive in the global market, Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic Tilek Toktogaziev told reporters at Kabar Agency.
He said that the ministry is currently working in 3 areas:
1. Consolidation of farmers, manufacturers and suppliers.
“This association has a priority direction due to the fact that many of our farmers alone will not be able to realize their potential in the global market. Domestic farmers have enormous potential to become a hub for high-quality products in the halal industry, but this can only be achieved by uniting,” he said.
2. Digitalization.
“Today we are introducing electronic document management in the ministry to provide accurate and timely information to farmers. Work is also underway to create an information system to provide agricultural services to citizens,” the minister explained.
3. Processing.
“The finishing direction is processing,” he said.
