Bishkek, Oct. 5, 2023. / Kabar /. Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic Askarbek Janybekov met with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of agriculture and promoting the export of agricultural products, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
Various aspects of agriculture including agricultural production, trade in agricultural commodities and technical cooperation between the countries were also discussed. Both sides expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in this area and expand the export of agricultural products, the report said.
Minister Janybekov emphasized the importance of developing agriculture as a key sector of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed confidence that cooperation with Iran can help improve the quality and competitiveness of Kyrgyz agricultural products in world markets.
