Bishkek, Oct.2, 2019. /Kabar/. Tuesday, Oct.1 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Alice Wells, U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
The sides noted the recent intensification of joint efforts of the two countries to develop and expand bilateral cooperation, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said.
In this context, the interlocutors discussed the implementation of the agreements, reached on July 31 this year in Bishkek on the results of the regular round of the Annual Bilateral Kyrgyz-U.S. Consultations.
Also, they discussed the results of Alice Wells' visit to Kyrgyzstan in February of this year, within the framework of which a Joint Statement on the return in Kyrgyzstan assets, which were illegally withdrawn by former President Bakiyev family in the amount of $ 4.6 million, was signed.
The parties noted the importance of further activation of cooperation in the entire spectrum of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.
