Aidarbekov takes part in ‘Republic of Korea-Central Asia’ Cooperation Forum in Nur-Sultan

Bishkek, Oct.16, 2019. /Kabar/. Delegation of Kyrgyzstan, headed by Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov, took part in the 12nd “The Republic of Korea-Central Asia” Cooperation Forum in Nur-Sultan.

Foreign ministers of Korea, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan participated in the Forum.

In the course of the event, the participants discussed cooperation issues between the Forum member states in the field of technical standardization, green energy, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the field of IT-technologies.

In his speech, Foreign Minister Aidarbekov noted Kyrgyzstan considers the Forum as an important platform for practical cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with the countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea in order to ensure sustainable development and prosperity of the region.

The event resulted in adoption of Joint Statement of the participants of the 12th meeting of the Forum, as well as the Work Plan of the Secretariat of the “The Republic of Korea-Central Asia" Cooperation Forum for 2020.

“The Republic of Korea-Central Asia” Cooperation Forum was initiated by the Korean Government in 2007 with the aim of developing and expanding trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries.
