Bishkek, Jan. 21, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov, who is in Germany with a working visit, held a meeting with compatriots living in Germany and spoke with them on various topics, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic shared his opinion on the state and prospects of development of the Kyrgyz-German cooperation, both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
He also informed the participants of the meeting about the established Council for Relations with Compatriots Abroad under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, stressing that the main purpose of the Council is to strengthen interaction and ensure effective cooperation between the state and compatriots on support, protection of the rights and interests of compatriots abroad.
Then, the meeting continued in the format of a dialogue, during which Kyrgyz citizens living in Germany asked their questions and received corresponding answers from the head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry. It is noted that the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens is one of the priorities of diplomatic missions abroad. Minister Aidarbekov stressed that if consular and legal issues arise, citizens can always contact consular agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic for the necessary advice and assistance.
The meeting took place in Berlin at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic on January 18.
