Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2022 / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, on behalf of the Cabinet of Ministers and on his own behalf, expressed condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of a road accident in Ulyanovsk region of Russia.
“Today, all the people of Kyrgyzstan mourn with you. Each of us took this bad news with pain in our souls. All our thoughts and prayers are now also with the three victims who are currently in the hospital. Sharing the bitterness of loss, I want to note that the Cabinet of Ministers will provide material assistance to the families of the victims and the dead and will make every effort to transport the bodies of the dead compatriots to their homeland as soon as possible,” the head of the Cabinet said.
14 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have been killed in a road accident in the Ulyanovsk Region and three more are in hospitals with injuries.
The accident occurred on Aug. 21 at approximately 13:00 on the M-5 Ural highway in the Nikolayevsky district of the Ulyanovsk region. As a result of the accident, 16 people died and five more were injured. A truck driver did not brake in time and crashed into a minibus waiting for its turn to pass a road section under maintenance.
