Bishkek, Feb, 2, 2023 / Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with Director of the World Bank Resident Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic Naveed Hassan Naqvi, the press service of the Cabinet reported.
During the meeting, topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. In particular, issues on the implementation of projects in the field of green energy, the adoption of the Water Strategy of the Republic and a plan of measures for its implementation were discussed.
The head of the Cabinet noted the priority for the republic of the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1, as well as projects in the field of green energy. He also noted the importance of including in the action plan for the implementation of the Water Strategy measures of support from international financial institutions for the export of bottled drinking water to foreign countries.
Director of the World Bank Resident Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic Naveed Hassan Naqvi, in turn, spoke about the ongoing work with government agencies to implement projects in the energy sector, including on possible mechanisms for attracting financing for the construction of Kambar-Ata HPP-1.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the issues of holding the Water Forum and the Investment Forum to attract investors to the country's energy sector for the implementation of major projects.
