Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2023 / Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov met with Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei as part of the World Government Summit in Dubai.
The press service of the Cabinet said that Akylbek Zhaparov noted that last year was rich in activities for the Kyrgyz-Emirati cooperation.
“In November last year, the official visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to the United Arab Emirates took place, within the framework of which an intergovernmental agreement was signed on the creation of a joint holding. Currently, the parties are working to complete domestic procedures. Under this agreement, we are ready to take investment cooperation to a new level. In December 2022, the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Arab Emirates was successfully held. As a result of the work of the commission, a number of agreements were signed that will allow intensifying cooperation between the two countries in the areas of trade, investment, agriculture, transport and logistics,” he said.
The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, Suhail Al Mazrouei, in turn, expressed satisfaction with the pace of cooperation and noted his readiness to continue developing and strengthening bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of previously reached agreements, including the development of government accelerators, the creation of a joint holding.
