Akylbek Zhaparov makes statement to press following EIC meeting

Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2022. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov and Chairman of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich made a press statement following the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

Akylbek Zhaparov in his statement noted the active work of the Eurasian Economic Commission on the implementation of the priorities of the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union, designated at the beginning of this year by the president of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“This is the need to achieve the goals laid down in the Strategic Directions for the Development of Economic Integration until 2025; ensuring the principle of "four freedoms" in the internal market of the association; building up cooperation in the industrial and agro-industrial spheres; development and implementation of joint projects on import substitution; creation and development of transport infrastructure; development of international cooperation.

During today's meeting, we heard information about the progress in the preparation of international agreements on the formation of common markets for gas, oil and oil products within the framework of the organization. We discussed the situation to remove obstacles in the internal market of the EAEU, made a decision on the sources and mechanisms for financing industrial cooperation projects.

The heads of government signed an Agreement on the rules for the issuance, circulation and redemption of warehouse certificates for agricultural products within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as a number of relevant orders and decisions.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on other topical issues of our interaction within the framework of Eurasian integration.

I am convinced that the results of our today's meeting contribute to Eurasian integration, improving the well-being of our peoples and states," the head of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
