Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, as part of a working trip to the city of London (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), met with Lord Mayor of the city of London, head of the City of London corporation Michael Mainelli, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Zhaparov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches priority to deepening bilateral relations with the United Kingdom in the economic direction.
“I personally came to London to take part in the international MINEX conference and to have the opportunity to personally invite British and international potential partners to work closely with the Kyrgyz Republic,” he said.
Akylbek Zhaparov added that the Cabinet of Ministers had taken a number of measures aimed at creating a favorable investment climate in Kyrgyzstan.
“We are working to improve the business environment, simplify registration and licensing procedures, and reduce administrative barriers for foreign investors. At this stage we are actively working to attract foreign investors, and we will be very happy to welcome British investors here in Kyrgyzstan. Mr. Mainelli, through you I invite British investors and entrepreneurs to work together on mutually beneficial terms,” the head of the Cabinet said.
In turn, Michael Mainelli noted that a number of British companies have offices in Kyrgyzstan. He expressed confidence that work in this direction will continue, as well as that comprehensive cooperation between the two countries reaches a high level.
