Bishkek, Sept. 6, 2024. / Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov received Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen.
The Cabinet of Ministers noted that during the meeting a range of topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted the successful opening of the new Bedel checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border, which took place on September 3 of this year.
"I am confident that with the historic opening of the new checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border, we are opening a new page in the history between our countries. I hope that we will work together to implement all the planned joint projects that will serve the development of our countries and peoples,” said Akylbek Zhaparov, adding that a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will be held in China in September this year.
Ambassador Du Dewen, in turn, expressed congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region.
Separately, she congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the completion of the construction of the presidential administration building, noting that the economic development of Kyrgyzstan is reaching a new level.
She noted with satisfaction the positive events taking place in the country, especially the positive pace of development of the Kyrgyz economy, which allows the two countries to effectively promote trade and economic cooperation.
