Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2023. / Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov received representatives of the Russian company “Unigreen energy”.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of a project for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 300 MW in the Issyk-Kul region.
Representatives of the company informed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers about the work done and noted that the approval of documents with the authorized bodies is currently being completed and preparatory work has begun at the solar power plant (SPP) site.
The Akylbek Zhaparov emphasized that projects aimed at the development of renewable energy sources are a priority for the state, and therefore maximum efforts will be made to resolve issues that impede the implementation of the solar power plant construction project.
In addition, he instructed to include this project in the plan of priority projects for 2024.
