Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2022. / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov took part in an opening of a virological laboratory to detect COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
The press service of the Cabinet reported that the visit took place as part of Zhaparov's working trip to Talas Oblast.
During the inspection, it was noted that the modern PCR laboratory is equipped with advanced equipment and is ready to process up to 800 tests per day.
The chairman of the Kyrgyz Cabinet stressed that such laboratories should be opened in all regions of the republic.
In turn, residents of Talas town and laboratory staff emphasized that after the virological laboratory is put into operation, it will be much easier to detect COVID-19 in citizens, because previously tests were sent to Bishkek. Because of this, the efficiency of detection of coronavirus infection was low.
In the near future the profile of the laboratory will be expanded in favor of increasing services for taking a number of other laboratory tests.
