Bishkek, Nov.14, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov held a meeting with rectors of a number of leading universities of the country, included in the international QS Asia University Rankings 2025.
During the meeting, the head of the Cabinet noted that for the first time in this rating universities of Kyrgyzstan showed notable results, which is an important evidence of the emerging progress of the higher education system.
“This first success is an indicator that thanks to the purposeful work on improving the quality of education, increasing scientific activity, strengthening international relations, we can achieve real results. However, as important as current achievements are, we must look to the future and continue to work to improve our position. Our common goal is to create strong and competitive universities that will not only meet the highest international standards, but also actively develop the educational and scientific potential of the region. It is difficult to overestimate the significance and importance of this work, because without it, it is impossible to achieve modernization of the whole Kyrgyzstan”, Akylbek Zhaparov said.
