Bishkek, Feb.11, 2020. /Kabar/. Checkpoints along the entire perimeter of the state border of Kyrgyzstan are being strictly monitored, the press service of the country’s State Border Service reported.

Under special control are citizens arriving from countries with a poor epidemiological situation or who visited China in the period from December 2019 to February 2020.

Apart from checking valid documents, the border guards check the stamps in their passports, and in case of presenting ID-cards, they also check the information in the automated system of border control for the recent stay in China of citizens crossing the state border.

According to an action algorithm, prepared by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic in accordance with WHO guidelines, all citizens arriving in Kyrgyzstan undergo thermometry and laboratory testing of upper respiratory tract samples.

Chinese citizens are thoroughly tested and, moreover, placed in quarantine facilities. Kyrgyz nationals arriving from China are also accommodated in the quarantine facilities, where they undergo comprehensive examinations.

All the checkpoints at Kyrgyzstan’s state border are operating in a reinforced regime and the necessary preventive measures have been taken.

Quarantine zones are used to receive citizens and temporary observation rooms with all the necessary supplies have been set up.

Disinfection barriers are installed at all checkpoints and vehicles are being disinfected.
