All educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan to return to traditional learning

All educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan, regardless of their form of ownership, will return to the traditional format of education in the coming school year, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the republic Nadira Dzhusupbekova told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

Currently, given the epidemiological situation in the country, the beginning of the school year was postponed to Sept. 15.

"The educational process will start in the traditional format for all schoolchildren and students," Dzhusupbekova added.

The deputy minister also stated the need to vaccinate the remaining 34% of education employees (at least 52,000) by the beginning of the educational process.

"As of today, a total of 55 thousand 207 employees of education (36%) have been vaccinated with the first dose,” the official said.

There are 152 thousand 827 employees of the education sector in Kyrgyzstan, including junior and technical staff.
