Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2023 / Kabar/. All foreign students studying in Kyrgyzstan are required to purchase a Compulsory Medical Insurance Policy, first deputy chairwoman of the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund Klara Oskombaeva told reporters at Kabar Agency.
She said that foreigners staying in Kyrgyzstan were divided into two categories: students, who must buy a policy without fail, and other foreign citizens temporarily or permanently staying in the Kyrgyz Republic.
“At the moment we are negotiating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Kyrgyzstan is open to many countries in a visa-free regime. It is assumed that foreigners staying in Kyrgyzstan for more than 30 days will have to purchase a policy. However, this issue is still under development,” said Klara Oskombaeva.
