All necessary measures are taken to prevent entry of coronavirus, says deputy PM

Bishkek, Mar.17, 2020. /Kabar/. First Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov visited Manas International Airport.

During the visit, he got acquainted with the inspections by specialized services in order to prevent the import and spread of coronavirus infection on the territory of the country, the Government’s press service reported on Tuesday.

In particular, Boronov familiarized himself with the inspection of passengers arriving by airplane from Russia.

A total of 120 passengers have arrived, they were checked inside the aircraft. Further, they underwent a thorough medical examination in the arrival hall.

"In order to prevent the entry and spread of coronavirus infection into the territory of the country, all specialists of inspection services, located at checkpoints, should be provided with protective clothing and special equipment as much as possible. The relevant state bodies should work together in this direction," Boronov demanded.

Along with this, the deputy PM said the opening of an additional crossing point is under consideration in order to improve the conditions for checking passengers coming from other countries.

Further, Kubatbek Boronov got acquainted with the inspection sites. Currently 88 persons are under the 14-day quarantine. They pass the corresponding analyses.

In addition, the official visited the Ak-Tilek checkpoint and familiarized with the process of verifying of people and heavy vehicles crossed the state border.

At the Ak-Tilek checkpoint, citizens crossing the border are checked by medical staff and, if necessary, an ambulance is organized.
